    Job Summary:

    In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

    This position is for the Additive Manufacturing Design Engineer at the Bike Shop Tucson location. This role requires a strong understanding of additive manufacturing design, fabrication, and equipment.

    + This position is an onsite full-time role.

    + This position requires hands on lab work with machines.

    + Travel is irregular up to 10% domestically.

    + Will work 1st shift Primary but may have early/late work call to support Test Missions

    What You Will Do:

    + Work with customers to establish requirements, educate on Design for Additive Manufacturing, create and modify design(s), and develop parts in accordance with customer needs, budget, cost, and schedule.

    + Translate complex assemblies and non-CAD models into printable parts using CREO.

    + Perform Computer Aided Design (CAD) of parts and assemblies utilizing Design for Additive Manufacturing with emphasis on manufacturability. Modify existing assemblies, produce molds, ensure parts are printable, etc.

    + Managing medium to large projects by managing and establishing a bill of materials, working under various budget sizes, inter-shop coordination, ensuring deadlines are met, customer relations, complex assembly/integration/testing/etc.

    + Assist shop with machine diagnostics and repairs (electrical, mechanical, etc.)

    + Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including upper-level management and working within a completely autonomous fashion with limited to no oversight.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

    + Experience with Industrial-Grade 3D printers.

    + Experience with CAD Design.

    + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Mechanical / electromechanical design experience and or education minimum of 2 years

    + Has advanced knowledge of multiple 3D printing methods (i.e. FDM, SLA, SLS, DLMS, etc.)

    + Experience with teaching and explaining policies, procedures, best practices and design guidelines for additive manufacturing.

    + Cross-Disciplined Engineering and Manufacturing expertise in an additional field (Electrical Fabrication, Welding, Composites, Machining, etc.)

    + Hands-on Experience operating, maintaining, using, and repairing various types of 3D printers, including SLA, FDM, CFR, Polyjet, BMD, & SLS.

    + Advanced knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software to modify parts, prepare them for printing, create molds, and recommend design changes.

    + Experience with multiple slicing and modeling software’s including Creo Parametric, Blender, Materialize Magics, Eiger, Preform, GrabCAD Print, Cura, IdeaMaker, BambuStudio, etc.
