Summary

Performs a variety of complex accounting and/or budget functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Performs financial/accounting services primarily supporting one of the CFO functional areas (Disbursements, General Accounting, Budgets & Rates, or Financial Planning & Analysis).

+ Processes accounting documents or assembles forecast data from various sources in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.

+ Prepares working papers required to record accounting and/or budget activities.

+ Accumulates and analyzes accounting charges or forecast data and develops budget forecasts.

+ Compiles data for periodic accounting and/or budget reports for distribution and determination of cost variances.

+ Analyzes data to identify recurring problems.

+ Analyzes and interprets accounting and/or budget data and presents conclusions to management.

+ Assists in the development of detailed procedures and work instructions in the accounting and/or budget area.

+ Effectively interfaces and builds strong relationships with internal customers.

You Must Have

+ Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant experience.

+ Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business.

+ Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.

+ Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

+ United States Citizenship.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
