**Responsibilities**

**Position Summary:**

The incumbent performs clinical laboratory procedures in assigned sections to detect identify measure and report data used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The incumbent uses technical skills instrumentation information systems and other resources to perform waived and moderate procedures as classified under the CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment) in order to provide clinical laboratory support to all user groups in the hospital and medical community.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Current California Medical Laboratory Technician license

+ Completion of a two-year degree program from an accredited college or university

+ One (1) year of recent work experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ One (1) year of laboratory experience in an acute care facility

**Pay Range**

$43.92 - $49.39/hour
