As a Sr Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in developing A661 applications for the Anthem Avionics platform. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications to meet customer requirements. Your expertise in software development and avionics systems will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of projects.

You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Deer Valley location in Phoenix, AZ on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development and delivery of advanced software solutions for the UAS business unit. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into software requirements. Your technical skills and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality software applications that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and test A661 applications for the Anthem Avionics platform

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze software requirements

• Debug and resolve software defects and issues

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes and efficiency

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development

• Minimum 2 years avionics systems and industry standards

WE VALUE

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) or related technologies

• Familiarity with DO-178C or other safety-critical software development standards

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience with A661 application development
