Overview
The Diagnostic/X-ray Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures using stationary and mobile radiographic equipment according to established standards. This position provides basic patient care, processes films, maintains equipment, transports patients and prepares and maintains documentation.
Diagnostic/X-ray Technologist 1 works in the following environments predominately: outpatient, pain/palliative care, children's health, orthopedics, portable and inpatient, and may work in less than three of the following: flouroscopy, o-arm, trauma, operating room and DEXA.
Diagnostic/X-ray Technologist 2 works in three or more of the following environments predominately: fluoroscopy, o-arm, trauma, operating room and DEXA; and may work also in outpatient, pain/palliative care, children's health, orthopedics, portable and inpatient.
Education
Associates of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology - Required
Certification & Licensures
MRTBE, ARRT- Required upon date of hire
BLS (American Heart Assoc.)- Required
NAHMG Clinic-Based Staff (Does not apply to Imaging Clinic):
Fingerprint Clearance Card application number- Required upon hire
Fingerprint clearance card required within 90 days from date of hire.
Experience
One year experience in Diagnostic Radiology - Preferred
