M&A Tax Director

As a Director, M&A Tax here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in our global tax team, driving strategic decision-making and ensuring our tax compliance aligns with our mission. In this role, you will be accountable for guiding and managing the M&A tax function and strategy, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and optimizing the company's tax position in relation to mergers and acquisitions. You will report directly to our Sr Director, Tax and you will work out of our Charlotte location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the company's financial success by providing expert tax advice and guidance on M&A transactions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify tax risks and opportunities, develop tax-efficient structures, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. Your expertise in M&A tax will be crucial in navigating the complexities of tax implications in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Guide and manage the M&A tax function, including tax planning, due diligence, structuring, and integration.

+ Provide tax advice and guidance on M&A transactions, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

+ Work with cross-functional teams to identify tax risks and opportunities in M&A deals.

+ Develop tax-efficient structures and strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

+ Manage relationships with external tax advisors, government tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.

YOU MUST HAVE

+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax.

+ Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to mergers and acquisitions.

+ Experience in managing tax compliance and reporting for M&A transactions.

+ Excellent thoughtful and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong guiding and team management skills.

WE VALUE

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Juris Doctor or a related field. Master's degree in Taxation (preferred).

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred

+ Experience in a multinational company or professional services firm.

+ Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
