Responsibilities Job Summary Under the direction of the CV Director-Cardiopulmonary or System Director-Cardiopulmonary in the lack there of, the Respiratory Supervisor coordinates and executes the activities of staff within the CV Respiratory Therapy Department or staff assigned to special teams/programs. The Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating all aspects relating to patient care. The Supervisor determines what skill level of staff member is needed to maintain unit or program needs, utilizing evidence based information. The Supervisor assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the pillars of excellence (Finance, Delivery, Quality, Patient/Employee Experience, Safety, and Growth) into their job performance. The Supervisor is able to function independently and may on occasion provide direct patient care according to the needs of the unit or program. The Supervisor shall assist the Director-Cardiopulmonary/System Director Cardiopulmonary in executing HonorHealth's vision, mission and values, exceeding the expectations of all customers/stake holders associated with the CV Respiratory Department. Finance Responsible charges accurately documented in electronic medical record. Responsible for maintaining staffing levels which meet or exceed WHOUPS goals Responsible for accurately maintaining a supply par level for all equipment assigned to the Respiratory department Responsible for composing and managing the department schedule to meet all obligations, productivity levels and program requirements Delivery Conducts huddles in review of department operations, patient care, and communication requirements Maintain appropriate supply and equipment levels to provide optimum patient care, composing requisition requests as per guidelines Supporting Sepsis Alert Team staff as required to meet bundle compliance and program obligations Supporting Vascular Access Team staff as necessary to complete required duties Will be a resource in all modalities of Respiratory Therapy and designated programs Quality Stay informed and up-to-date on all new and evolving policy, procedures and processes Share best practices, equipment, staffing, supplies and processes to promote consistency, collaboration and standardization Maintain and update DMS Huddle Board/Problem Solving Board Maintain and update departments/employees required licensure, competencies and certifications Patient/Employee Experience Conducts purposeful rounding throughout the facility on both patients and staff resulting in real time problem solving and developing trusting relationships Round daily with Sepsis Alert Team to discuss SEP-1 Bundle Compliance Provide informative and effective employee evaluations and reviews Works with the Director to increase Department Employee Engagement Will act as department advocate in assigned committees or organizational programs Safety Update and maintain risk event reporting Works with Director to promote departmental safety Collaborate with system educators in developing accurate competencies for all staff Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate safety initiatives Growth Provide innovative ideas for enhanced efficiencies, and service line opportunities Collaborate with staff to effectively implement ideas, suggestions for improvement and growth opportunities as brought forth by the department ACT team Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in either Healthcare, Business or Education Required Experience 5 years clinical experience in an acute care facility with one (1) year of lead experience Required Licenses and Certifications Respiratory\RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Current RRT credential Upon Hire Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Arizona Respiratory License.
