The Human Resources Specialist/Recruiter performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Axiom Care’s Human Resource Department. The HR Specialist/Recruiter will be primarily responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for an organization by managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process with hiring managers to fulfill staffing needs; essentially acting as the key link between the company and potential employees.
This role will also provides administrative support to the human resource functions in the areas of new hire employee onboarding, background and credentialing, employment verifications, employee file maintenance and compliance, and HRIS entry and reporting. The HR Specialist/Recruiter will report to the HRD.
Responsibilities
- Design and update job descriptions and competency assessments for recruiting positions
- Source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. social media and professional platforms like Indeed and AZ Pipeline)
- Craft recruiting emails to attract passive candidates
Screen incoming resumes and application forms
- Interview candidates (via phone, video and in-person)
Prepare and distribute assignments and numerical, language and logical reasoning tests
- Advertise job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internally
- Provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Send job offer emails and answer queries about compensation and benefits
- Monitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire
- Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
- Act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard
- Additional duties as needed
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
- Experience with sourcing techniques
- Understanding of referral programs
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Sound judgement
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
